Spatial Development Vision for the Brno Metropolitan Area

We merged the existing and proposed development areas from the land-use plans of all municipalities in the metropolitan area and calculated partial and overall potential for each of them. The criteria cover land ownership, residential environment, transport from local to supra-regional level, public amenities, the labour market and recreation.

From the results we identified development axes, built a typology of municipalities and tested whether their planned growth matches what their territory can offer. The results are published in an interactive atlas down to individual plots. The project followed the 2024 pilot study.
