Land Potential of Bratislava

Potential for five land uses across the whole of Bratislava, in three development scenarios.

For the whole of the Slovak capital we assessed potential for housing, production, public amenities, leisure and sport, and urban and landscape greenery. The analyses were turned into three development scenarios that feed into the city's development forecast.

We adapted the method to Slovak data and added new criteria. The weights were set by experts from the Metropolitan Institute of Bratislava, who presented the results at the Esri GIS conference in Prague in 2023.
